36. My Thoughts on This Work I Love

I did my first webinar three years ago, so I went back and revisited that webinar only to realize that it was much better than I feared. I was undoubtedly nervous and am much more confident now, but I was much better prepared for it than I had realized.

That also got me reflecting back on my work over the last three years and my belief in the importance of what I teach. Learning about how your brain works is so important to understanding ourselves and how we can grow and develop.

I have spoken before on the podcast about how we should not try to cut ourselves off from negative emotions. A full spectrum of emotions - positive ones and negative ones - makes our lives richer and fuller, and trying to be happy at all times ironically creates unnecessary suffering. This is why this work is so important to me and why I feel that teaching Thought Work is my calling.
