14. How to Solve for Overwhelm

Getting overwhelmed and exhausted is something to which a lot of us can probably relate, and many of us also likely feel that it’s necessary, especially if we want to meet our goals and succeed. I am here to tell you, however, that overwhelm is something that needs to be solved, not tolerated.

I teach Thought Work, and I share with you how to use it to solve for overwhelm. Listen as I share what overwhelm is, what causes it, and how you can begin to use it as a signal so that you don’t get stuck in it.

Your long to-do list isn’t what causes overwhelm. It’s your thoughts about that to-do list that result in the overwhelm, and understanding that can begin to make a big difference. In order to reach a level of calm that will help us be more productive, we need to change what we think. Every problem has a solution, and that includes feeling overwhelmed.
